NCHRP Study

South Coast Engineers is currently working with the Kilgore Consulting & Management team on National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 15-61: Applying Climate Change Information to Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design of Transportation Infrastructure.  This work is funded through the Transportation Research Board, a member of The National Academies. The objective of this research is to develop a design guide of national scope to provide hydraulic engineers with the tools needed to amend practice to account for climate change. Our primary role in the project is the development of practical guidance and tools that incorporate the anticipated effects of climate change on coastal processes for transportation planning and design. More information about the project is provided on the TRB website {click here}.
